Stay-to-Play Policy

All AC Sports events are TEAM BASED Stay-to-Play events

All teams agree to coordinate their Play & Stay Requirements through the T1 Housing service.  Please note that most deadlines are two weeks before the tournament and after this time, team room blocks will no longer be available.

Reservations cannot be made using points or promotions (AAA, government, military), but you can earn points.

Please note that hotels cannot be contacted directly for reservations/room blocks, requesting additional room availability at specific hotels, questions, etc.  Your designated team housing coordinator (individual creating your team block), can instead reach out to T1 Housing with any questions/issues at [email protected].

Stay-to-Play Requirements for Teams:

(To participate in our events, teams must meet the Stay-to-Play requirements.)
  • Each team must book at least 8 guest reservations (not room nights) for the event through the T1 Housing booking site before the team block booking deadline.  Any team that books less than the required reservations – will be assessed with a prorated OPT OUT fee per missing reservation.

  • Teams located 75 miles or closer to a playing location are considered “local” teams and are exempt from the Stay-to-Play requirements.

  • Teams located 76 miles or further away from the event are considered “travel” teams and must follow the Stay-to-Play guidelines.

  • If a team wishes to opt out of the Stay-to-Play requirements, they can send an email to [email protected] and request the opt out fee for that event.
*PLEASE NOTE*

For all AC Sports and Cap Classic® events:
Teams that have not completed their Stay-to-Play requirements through T1 Housing by the given deadline – (usually 8 weeks prior) – for the event will AUTOMATICALLY be billed for the event OPT OUT fee and will not be scheduled for the event unless that fee is paid in full prior to the scheduling deadline (4 weeks prior).

    • If you have a specific family that plans to stay outside of a T1 Housing rooming block, please coordinate that decision with your team’s housing coordinator.
    • There are no exceptions to the Team Based minimum requirements for these situations.
